How do you test your LiIons?

So, I have a hobby charger that can charge and discharge lithium ions. Is that the preferred way to test their capacity? How do you test yours?

I use a ZTS Load Multi-Battery Tester which can test a battery under a load. This is better than just a voltage readout in a static state of charge.

I use a digital voltmeter, but also use a ZTS tester too. Expensive, but to me worth every penny. I use it many times each week.

Reading your question more closely, are you asking state of charge or capacity (mAh)?

I don't have an analyzing li-ion charger, so I just measure the state of charge right after I charge them up. When they begin failing to charge up to around 4.20v, I can tell that they're getting tired.

I'll run them in my lights and do informal runtime tests and that gives me a better idea, as well.
