How to tell a fake G2 from a real one?

The G2 finally came in and it seems real to me. Same guts as a c3 tailcap.

A good sign when it comes with a p60. The lube on the threads even looks like the kind that sf uses. I don't think this light was ever used in any real sense.

sooo dimensionally it's basically an exact replica of the G2 only the material used is different? that could be a great backup light or host for cheap builds

The tailcap thread patterns are different because that c3 tailcap wasn't quite compatible. It threaded on and can power the light but doesn't quite work as intended. I'll do some more legoing and see what works and what doesn't, but the g2 is a nice lightweight option that still has a sturdy feel despite being plastic.
