Hi All,
Looked for this info with a google search in addition to a forum search here but could not find the answer. I have a random array of AA rechargeables that have "HR" stamped on the negative pole. I assume this indicates a specific OEM but I could be wrong. Thanks for your knowledge in advance!

If you mean the "HR6" on the NiMH AAs that is the IEC Naming convention for AAs. For AAAs it is HR03. for alkalines AA is LR6 and AAAs is LR03.

On my various NiMH batteries the HR6 is sometimes at the positive end and sometimes printed at the negative end.

that means fdk/sanyo.
any that you see with the hr mark regardless of brand on the wrapper is a fdk/sanyo cell.
