Did a quick replacement of the Lux III LED in a later gen KL3 with a Seoul P4 LED, a USV0I I believe that I bought a while back. Emitter was raised with a 0.03 ~ 0.76mm shim. LE is kept stock.
Before : Hot spot and ceiling bounce
After : Hot spot and ceiling bounce
Things I noticed after the replacement :
- brighter output, as expected
- bigger hotspot
- better spill
- better tint - more like neutral white now
Overall, a simple mod to update your KL3 if you happen to have one.
