So I have replaced every incandescent in my mother's house with LED's, aside from these pesky HR16 E26/E27 35W Halogens in a 12 year-old stove hood. Apparently they burn out all the time.
I see LED equivalents for various halogens like MR16 and PAR20, GU10, etc- will any of these be compatible with HR16 E26/27? I take it MR/HR refers to the reflector type, and the E26/E27 refers to the particular screw-in base form factor?
EDIT, I may have answered my own question, looks like these might work... http://www.canadalite.com/LED-Light-Bulbs-and-Fixutres/LED-Light-Bulbs/HR16-LED-Bulbs
or these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NV1Y4UW/?tag=cpf0b6-20
Needs to be about 54mm length by 48mm diameter, and to tolerate heat/steam of a stove. I'll post results when I've found a solution.
