Hmm.. Friday's commute was 2 hrs 25 minutes. This recording of Pink Floyd's Pulse concert from 1994 happens to be 2:23. It was a great commute! I don't remember what the drive was like -- the car was driving. Surround sound + this concert for the commute was heavenly.
Looking back at this concert and realizing it was 30 years ago, it must have taken some amazing engineering to pull off this show. Even most live concerts today don't have this much lighting and special effects.
Remember, there were no powerful LEDs, so everything you see here are metal halides with dichroic glass filters. Some tungstens. As far as computer control went, remember we were still using 386s and 486s. If you were trying to play 16-bit stereo audio, the CPUs could only handle .WAV files. Then again, MP3s just started to be used one year prior.
I also remember them doing a liquid light show during part of the concert I attended.
