It's a mystery : Model / make - manufacturer / steel .... Yes it say's D2 , but so what ?
Factory edge failed the rope slice test @ 200 slices making the knife 10c a slice on the value scale .
Resharpened on the wet stone grinder , resulted in what looked to be a 350 rolled edge ( fail ) .
Some carefull stropping on wood , saw a very good resto on the edge ( = roll edge most of the time ) .
It's a small knife that can go in your pocket . And being such a small knife it hurt my hand ( hurts as I type this ) .
For less than $20 Oz to my door , I can't complain . This is not a work knife . But rather a knife you carry a lot and use a little for a decent amount of time before you need to re sharpen . Has what appears and smells like a leather sheath and the knife sit's in it snug enough .
Is it an alternative to a folding knife ? Quite possibly .
It's cheap ! It's functional ! it hurts if you use it for too long ! ( Me ) ,
With the pain in my hand , I would score it 6.5 / 10 .. If my hand did not ache , I might score it higher .
