Got my used LX2 Lumamax today.
Tailcap wont work for me,so I unscrew tailcap.
After that detail fall out from flashlight.....
Is everything as should be with this flashlight ,may anyone tell me,please ?
I'm not sure what you're asking. It sounds like the tailcap is broken? Nothing but batteries should fall from your light. If you give Surefire a call they will take care of the problem.
I think I know what the OP means. I have a LX2 and now when I unscrew the tail cap the assembly inside the tailcap along with the spring falls right out. So, I sent it to surefire and they are going to fix and send it back. I recommend that you contact surefire. They will fix this under warranty for you.
I had the same problem. I believe the light can get hot enough to melt through the three little plastic columns holding the circuit board in the tailcap. I had surefire just mail me a replacement tailcap.
That happened to my LX2 as well, nothing some Loctite Extremw couldn't fix.
I told Surefire about it though and they sent me a tailcap even if I specified clearly that I DID NOT need one.
Now I have two LX2 tailcaps, one just sitting.
