What's the status?

All machinings are complete and I just sent part of them to polishing and other part (M Head) to masking shop this morning.
M*g "D" black heads will be ready and shipped out hopefully by mid July but all gray M*g "D" and $urefire "M" heads will be ready possibly by end of July.
Did everybody get lamp assembly? If yes, what type and from where? How about body/battery host?
Answer of these questions will help others to get better idea if they haven't decide yet.

So far, I have the following lamps:

4509 13V 100W Spot

4515 6.4V 30W Spot

50PAR36/WFL 12V 50W Flood

I'm going to use D-Mag tubes with an AW Soft-Start Switch and 26500/26650 IMRs and 26650 A123 cells.

I may try the 4509 on a regulated switch at 15V.

I may try the 4515 on a MagFire with 2x 18654 IMRs and a soft-start.

I will probably order one of the PAR36 lamp enclosures to see if I can rig it to work with a KIU socket.

I purchased 2 GE 4515 Par 36 6v 30w "pinspot" bulbs from Lampsolutions on Ebay. I think the cost was about $18 shipped. I will be running the lamp in my M6 with 2x26500 AW IMRs using FM's extended tailcap.

Woot!

Mine arrived today. I had everything ready, with a 3-segment Mammoth tube carrying an AW soft-start switch and 4x 26650 A123 cells.

IMGP3353.jpg

(Megalennium/KT4 for scale.)

I popped in a 100W 13V pin spot (4509) and fired it up. It's wicked bright, even on the lowest level. On high it's ridiculous. Can't wait for dark!

One question, FM...is the second O-ring an extra, or is it a part of the assembly?

:twothumbs:goodjob: :thanks:

Attention to everybody:
Second O'ring goes between head and lamp assembly.
No O'ring needed for bezel.

Anybody else has beam shot?

All heads shipped out and you will receive soon if haven't.
I have few extra head listed in firs post.

Enjoy your aircraft landing light.
