This light would be perfect with a Nichia! How easy to swap led? Could you explain steps? I'm a newbie.

I hate the green tint but it's definitely moddable. I have a Nichia 219B in mine. Glad to hear they hold up.

untwist the bezel, desolder the led baseplat, desolder the old LED, reflow on the baseplate the new one, resolder the LED baseplate, close the bezel.

The bezel is tight but not glued. Try to find a nice pin tool or something so you don't damage the bezel. I used needle nose pliers on mine so I ended up refinishing mine afterwards.

Wth the Nichia do you still get the Turbo of 540 lumens? If so which exact Nichia you using? If not, which Nichia would get me the max of 540 lumens?
