Re: FS: custom made forward-clicky switch for Surefire P/G/C/Z tailcap

i just wanted to say I have changed all my switches over. The instructions worked great and the switches work good.
They make modes work much easier.

Thanks for a great product

So there's no chance or possibility to increase the amperage rating even a bit (to ~3.5A)?
And will the second batch of switches be the very last ones?
Also is there any quality difference between both batches?

Maybe reducing resistance of tailcap spring by running braided copper wire from bottom of spring to top. Use solder. Like some of the resistance fixes for Mag D springs.

No. It's still 3A. Sorry for that.

The quality is the same.

Thanks.

I didn't disassemble the switch myself yet but it's not like Mag switches. The current limitation isn't caused from the battery contact spring. :)

Thanks.

The spring is part of the tailswitch and if you can reduce resistance somewhat then maybe more current can flow through it. The switch is rated for 3A's because the switch will offer too much resistance at 3+A's and will get too hot, possibly causing failure or a reduction of voltage delivered to an LED, or reduced voltage to an incan bulb. This is a simple explanation, but anything that can be done to reduce resistance in the switch will allow more current to pass freely.

If the max current rating can only be 3A then so be it.
I may still be ineterested in getting one of these, but I need to know if the second batch would be the very last ones available.

Yes, they're the latest batch.

Thanks.
