Re: SST-50 EDC Light *Feeler* nice

and if you should be so inclined to produce an 18650 body, that would be delightful, too.

Cheers,

Mark

+2

Hi again Mac,

...to add to my earlier post on Pg 1, my more detailed preferences would be:

- Alu
- 2 level (or 3 if you have enough requests/find another driver)
- Finned head probably, although the proto is absolutely beautiful as it is, incl the softly chamfered edges
- Removable clip would be nice - with a lanyard hole in it
- With an additional 18650 body / later on if not straight away

Thanks Mac,

Chris

Very very very nice... I could be tempted by an ALU version...

I guess the driver is PWM ? What frequency ?

Also interested in an aluminum model with two levels, depending on finished form. Nice work

Re: SST-50 EDC Light *Feeler*

Nice...I would like a titanium version.

...as long as it can tailstand, has a super low low, is fully regulated, has a easy to mod pill, can be attached to my keyring, can take AW 18650 2600mah, has a serial number, and can beat the Fenix E01 in runtime... j/k

Put me down for 1 Ti!

Wow, beautiful work there! I'd love to say that I am interested, but the moths in my pocketbook tell me otherwise. The two level variant looks the best to me. I can't wait to see more of these SST-50 lights show up.

Wow, Mac, look what you started. Interested, of course. Haven't decided yet between Al or Ti.

I'd love one of these in aluminum, 2 levels (I love that 150ma 1050ma spacing) definitely with a clip and some one-off trit milling if possible.

What about this driver? Basically your 2-mode plus an ultrahigh "Boost"-mode. Considering your heatsinkinking 2.5A for short periods should be ok.
Do you also consider a MCE version of your light? BTW 18650 support would be great too.

Powering a light at 2.5A from one RCR123?
This sounds dangerous to me.
If you use the safer chemistry single-cells, they would be depleted in virtually no time at this level.
I'm sure Mac has thought it through and come up with the best solution for this size of light.

It would be a different story if an 18650 cell-body was an option, but at the moment its not.

I was actually aiming at an 18650 support. 2.5A from a RCR123 indeed doesn't make sense.
