Surefire E2D LED DEFENDER

I had a working SureFire E2D LED DEFENDER and need to replace it. What would be a good replacement for it? SureFire makes the E2D LED DEFENDER ULTRA with 1,000 lumens, not what I have. I use red or green lights but need the white sometimes.

1000 lumens is nice and bright. I would definitely want the option to run rechargeable batteries if that were me. I think it depends on what and how much you will use the light. I like the Surefire G2X Pro a lot. It costs less too. It seems to run well on a 16650. You could get that and a Maglite of some sort for less than the Defender and they are both American made.
