^^ Agreed,

But I was looking to clean up arifacts and wasn't satisfied with the change from painted reflector, so I never compared throw of the op vs stock.

I'll see if I can find the painted one IG and take a pic next to stock.

I really like an SMO reflector and I have them on a few of my Mags but I hate the artifacts and if you're actually using the light they are tough to keep clean. I get so aggravated I'll probably end up going OP on all mine pretty soon.

Thanks for all the input to this thread. After a week of soaking in vinegar and additional attempts to pull and bang the batteries out without success, I'm declaring "no joy" and tossing the flashlight. I stripped useful parts. Since the batteries didn't drop out after a week of soaking, it became clear that this was going to take some effort to remove the LED switch assembly, resulting in a lower performing light than if I just buy a LED module.

I'm in the middle of reassessing all of my flashlight needs for the household so you will see a new thread about that.

Thanks again!
