Finally got all the elements in place to enable the anodizing of the two pieces:

Color is really a bit more blue green than the photo shows, but good enough to represent the color of the ocean somewhere.


Next up with be the Great Revealing--machining down the squares to create the silver 'islands' floating in the blue-green ocean. Helps to have a vivid imagination here. :devil:

The machining on the bodies is done:

The interior of the light wasn't as exposed to the exterior, hence the purple color there.

Even the tail cap has an 'island'--and a little spot where the anodizing isn't perfect.

And the usual maker's mark--the unintended blemish.

And the two benchmates pose for the camera for the last time.

WOW !!! This project will turn out amazing. I cannot imagine to feel this light in my hands. I like your idea very much and if it goes into serial production :naughty: I take 2...
