It is hard to tell - do you have any 18650 (either type) left?

Hi Tom,

I need your help, you Inbox is full so I am posting here.

Ok so I fitted the Torchlab Triple in the my TNC Head with TNC E2C Adaptor. I had to use an O-ring between the Head and E2C as the Spacer that attaches to the E body makes a gap. The light works perfectly, but now I can't get the battery out as the Body and Spacer are locked!

I have tried to use Veniss and plyers with my best not to damage the metal but I can get them loose . Before screwing together I used NyoGel thinking this would help screwing them off every time I want to remove and insert a battery but seams to of made it worse :(

Any chance you can take a look for me? I know you work with many tools and would have what is needed.

Thanks!

Gus

Hi,

No I did not, it's that ring adapter seen on the pictures of the OP that comes with the body that I can't get loose.

Did you try a strap-wrench? That what I use if I can´t get a part off of another one..... happened back in my lego light days with a SF c2m adapter quite a lot.

Yes, strap wrench(s) would be the tool I would carefully try to use ....

I would agree that strap wrenches will be the best choice.

I know the adapter is smooth and difficult to grip.
There is no reason to overtighten it, but things happen.

I cleared some room for PMs if you need any more help.
We will get you sorted out man.

Let's see a pic of the light!

Thanks Guys,

I will post a Pic.
Will look for a strap wrench. All have atm are standard pipe wrenches, and using tape or a cloth losses grip.
Had to toss an M3 head as a destroyed the finish trying to remove the bezel . I will do what I can not to damage the Ti.

Here are is my light.
Has the Torchlab triple XPL, TnC Ti head with copper bezel and copper E2C adaptor and Tom's 18650 body. In the last pic is a close up of the joints note the O-ring, that realy joins the head and adaptor nicely. I have no issue unscrewing the E2C from the Ti adaptor, it's the Ti adapter on the body.

Hope I can find strap Wrench and get the parts loose.
Tom, I might want to order another body if I can't get this.

Ok so I finally got a strap Wrench it's actually for 8 in pipe but was able to get the Parts loose, Yay!!
I also grabbed a 219B Torchlab Drop-in before they Sell out, so the XPL you see is now in my OR/Cryos Host and the 219B with Amber LED will live in this Host.
