I use very low capacity very high drain purple Efest on most all of my lights, unless Vinh instructs me different. I just looked at the SkyLumen site for this light, and I see "Recommend Protected Batteries" which is a link to Acebeam cells.
Congrats on your new light, its immediate predecessor (K70) is what started me being excited about full size high performance dedicated throwers.
Just last night, I was fantasizing about ganging seven (7) of these together to see what the beam performance would be.
