My first try on forced patina on my BOSSS Copper 70 and I really like it:

No, no eccentric ingredients like Blair´s Death Sauce which I used on my McGizmo Ti PD-Mule ;) Just ordinary chemicals (which I don´t know since I bought a Patina "solution" on ebay).

Just got the 35 sized version. I can't get enough of this light. Are these as durable as the look?

I have a 70. This light is put to the absolute test quite often, I can assure you they are as durable as they look. My light has never failed me.

I've got a black satin 7075 BOSS 35 that's been my daily carry for a few months now and I've dropped it quite a bit with no issue. It even took a three and a half foot fall onto concrete and I can barely see the impact mark on the tail!

Similar sentiments here. I've had my BOSS 35 for over a year, and the coating is really something else. Dropped it many times with very little to show for it.

Interestingly, what's done the most visible damage are my keys and the aluminum frame of my wallet. My BOSS 35 has many hairline scratches throughout it from being in the same pocket.

If something in the flashlight does fail, there's a good chance it'll probably be the switch. And with the right tools, it'll take only a couple minutes to swap out for a new one.

Re: New B.O.S.S Flashlight?

The litte copper 35 was jealous of the treatment the 70 received and was begging me constantly to get the same treamtment. Last weekend I couldn´t stand it´s bugging anymore and turned the 35 into a pirate BOSS too.
