I know this is an old thread, but I received a Sangean CL-100 as a Christmas gift and set it up last night. I'm happy so far. It has all the workings of a weather radio, plus some very cool features as an AM/FM alarm clock. I can choose which radio station I want to come on when my morning alarm goes off, as well as what volume. Also, I can set which days of the week I want the alarm to come on, even when the alarm switch is set to the "buzz" or "radio" (on) positions. Size wise it has a very compact footprint which I didn't expect. It is a welcome addition to my night stand. Only negative is that I cannot simply roll over and read the time - I have to sit up slightly to see the display.

Very, very cool little unit. I'll update later if anything goes wrong, but so far it seems to be a nice radio with plenty of features.
