That's true, sadly. But some of my old school lights are fit for AW's only and don't wanna bore them so quest has to progress.

You mean protected 18650s? Have you tried the Readylast variant? Heard it's the de-facto substitution to the AW variant and shares similar diameter size.
If however you need cells in other sizes (17670, RCR123 etc.) then maybe Lumens Factory could help.
Specifically 18500 and 17670 protected. Radilast allready have

Not sure about 18500, but there's some stock for the 17670 and RCR123 at LF. That's all I know for now.
If however you need to get the said cells in large quantities then that's another story......
In fact LF has been having difficulties getting 18650s (both black label protected and IMR) for internal testing purposes. Nor was it able to contact AW either.
Will give it a look anyhow. Thank you for this info!
