The grip rings are easy to hold because they catch on your fingers. I live in Japan, so I can't use it with a gun, but I still use the old 6Z with the combat rings because it's easy to hold.

Love it when other companies use hard polymer for the grip-ring.
Then wonder why sales are abysmal.
Had a Streamlight NightFighter back in the day.
Polymer grip-ring was wretched!
Made for a nice compact 2xCR123 light when the ring was removed.

Spoke with an SL rep. when they were getting ready to release the New LED version of the NF. Told him how terrible the inca. version was in terms of design. Told him how I was eagerly looking forward to the new version. He told me it would be significantly better. Lying son of a....

Very same design. Just two rings on the bezel added on. And, LED instead of incandescent. Usually Streamlight doesn't create moronic flashlight designs. But the NightFighter is the exception to that rule. Got my SureFire C2 and my Z2. very happy with both.

Didn't want to pay $25USD + shipping from lumensfactory to replace the 3X rings (with 6X other rings I will not use) so 3d printed it in TPU instead.
