Excellent project!

1. Show the video to those who were "kicking ****s" at school and because of that have no idea of physics;
2. Declare first working sample delivery some 4 months away from first payment;
3. Collect money;
4. When first shipment delivery deadline expires — disappear in the void;
5. PROFIT!!!

P.S.:
  • The first law, also known as Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed in an isolated system.
  • The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of any isolated system always increases.

I can't tell from the video if it's a complete scam, or if the galvanic reaction that probably occurs between the silicon and the graphite plates charges the capacitors enough while it's off to last through the demo.

In the latter case it's still not a practical device, and for all intents and purposes a $4000 scam. You have to put more energy into producing the silicon than you could get out of such a device, and it ceases working once the silicon is fully oxidized.

His website is very, very thin on performance claims, completely devoid of info about any sort of independent testing, yet does make reference to alleged customers who are happy with their devices, and filled with phrases that almost seem to make sense to the average person, like "regenerative power looping". Classic perpetual motion marketing tactics.

Among other things, he seems to be trying to imply an effect that would be basically the same thing as using the boost circuit in a flashlight to recharge the flashlight's own battery. That's a derivative of one of the most classic of perpetual energy scams. The original form is to suggest using a battery to run a motor that turns a generator that produces a higher voltage than the battery (but lower current, which is the part that usually goes unmentioned).
