1006 hours and still going, the cell is now at 1.45V.The Zebralight H53c N on level 2 (0.07 lumen) with a AAA lithium primary cell is at 895 hours, and the cell voltage is down to 1.51 V out of the light. Once the cell voltage gets much below 1.5V it really starts to drop off in voltage quickly as the load continues. Only 105 hours to go, thinking it could happen yet . . . .

Not sure what you're asking, but the cell will work down to around 1.4V then drop off very fast. I haven't measured the current lately but it's somewhere between 1 and 2mA. We had candles that lasted 8 days so...anything is possible?Just a minor clarification, the HC53 n was used for a few tests the past few months.
AAA alkaline ran 773 hours on level 1,
AAA alkaline ran 873 hours on level 2.
I wanted to see it get 1000 hours on a primary cell, and that's been accomplished!!
As of this post it's still running after 1015 hours.
The test has ended, 1035 hours on level 2 of a HC53 n powered by a 9 year old AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium cell. Light is flashing periodically, maybe every 15 seconds, similar to when I tested with the alkaline on level 21006 hours and still going, the cell is now at 1.45V.

Nothing definite. I started to consider getting a lithium rechargeable AAA that outputs 1.5V to see if it might run longer. But, without doing math or thinking much, I think that the lithium primary AAA stores more juice. I'm also ready to use the headlamp for an upcoming trip, so I likely won't do any further testing until at least November.any more tests planned?
