Klarus SP10 ; lost going on 4yrs now. It's not going to be found & like the OP it was lost inside the house. Wasn't found during / after the move either.

Actually, it did turn up.

The longer version though; I had changed planes in SEATAC airport, and realized once on the new flight that my Boss70 was not in its pocket. So I sat there in grief for about 10 minutes, wondering if it had went MIA in the Eugene airport (where I had spent the night), or the subsequent SEA airport. With the airports, when it's gone, it's gone. :-(

Turns out it was in the wrong darn pocket - which is how I'm empathizing with Bilbo, lol.
My multi-tool is always in the right pocket, with the Boss in the left pocket. But not carrying my usual multi-tool (e.g. airport security), for some reason the Boss went into the right pocket after I went thru security. A simple change, but literally the last place I'd check for my flashlight. :-/

LOL Dude way back maybe in the very early 90's I was helping my dad do some work in a gutted condominium. I had my trusted EDC light, it was a Mini-Maglite or possibly my old Brinkmann Black Max. I was using it for hours, climbing over partially constructed floors and walls, drilling and working, and as we cleaned up our gear late in the evening, I realized my light was missing. I had a tool pouch on my belt and the light was supposed to be in it. I panicked and literally crawled back over the whole house before I realized it WAS in the belt pouch and the screwdriver next to it was covering it.

Whew! As someone who recently considered a 200 km midnight drive to look for a flashlight (who's purchase price wouldn't match the *sales tax* on that nice BOSS), I can empathize, and thank you for the update to prevent my second-hand grieving.

Learned the hard way from multiple models that Klarus lights are garbage!

That's been happening a lot to me recently. Though not with flashlights. Money, house-keys.... Good thing my brain can't be removed from its usual spot.

A similar thing just happened to me. I was checking out three Maglite Spectrum Solitaires, red, green and blue in the dining room. Then, they just disappeared! I couldn't remember where I had put them! They don't really have a set place that I keep them, so I didn't have any idea where they would have been put. Later that night, for some reason, I shoved my hand into my left pocket, and there they were!

I guess I need some of that Einstein brain/memory supplement. What's it called? I can't remember, just remember Einstein in the TV ad. Probably doesn't work, anyway. Marketers selling hope to the desperate and gullible.

Thought of this thread yesterday morning when my Swiss Army knife went missing.

Getting ready to go to work, putting all my stuff in my pockets, Streamlight Protac 1L1AA, Zebra F301, chapstick, wallet, CRKT Hissatsu folder.... Swiss Army Knife (20+ year old Victorinox Hiker). No SAK. can't find it. Checked the Gerstner chest where all my stuff is. No SAK. Checked yesterday's pants... no SAK... checked the floor, checked my pockets 27 times, no SAK. Okay, I'm not going to solve this right now, so I went to work. I grabbed a small keychain-sized Wenger and threw it in my pocket for the day.

I remember having it the previous day while heating up my sandwich for lunch and using the can opener to pull the rack out of the toaster oven at work. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have just left it on the counter.

So I got home last night and start combing the house. I know this particular one likes to work its way out of my pocket when I'm sitting down. I checked sofa cushions, checked under the floor in my car. Nothing. Then I remembered I sat in one particular chair in our living room near our (still up from Xmas) Christmas tree and all the holiday detritus that we still have to clear up, and there sitting on the floor was my SAK.
