Not quite the same, true, but this clip doubles as a nice bottle opener too.

Unfortunately, I do love their pressure switch (without the QTC installed).
So, that solution wouldn't work for me; unfortunately.

What was it like using the light as a twisty? Was it possible to twist the head one-handed? And was it possible to twist it to the light-output that you liked, when the pill was in it?

Head too slippery. One-handed? No, not for me. Head too stiff on my example. Body too short. My favorite output is full-on, highest setting. Twist the head all the way to get that.

How about without the pill -- can you turn it on by twisting the head, without it being too slippery? And without the pill, does the battery rattle when the light is off?

Didn't try turning it without the pill in place. But removing the pill isn't going to change how slippery the head is. Unfortunately yes, there is quite a bit of battery rattle. But unless you need a quiet, stealthy light; not a huge issue.

So, now you have a single-level light. Does it have redeeming features? Good beam, good color, something else? Seems like a lot of money for a single-level light....

Yes. Without the pill, it is an absolute pleasure to use with the pressure switch on top. Yes, to both beam and color. I selected the non-narrow beam. Color is warm white. I paid just over $120 for the light and the pressure switch. Plus around $35 for my now broken Ti clip. It's not a fantastic bargain at all, for a single output light. For me, the overall build quality is definitely worth it.

ETA: I'm still considering getting a Logan, but just as a twisty, with the "pocket" style body. So, the ease of twisting is more important to me than the issues around the pressure switch.

If one-handed twist operation is very important to you, yeah; that's definitely going to be an issue.

I only have one non-Eiger, an El Capitan, and it's also my only non-stainless body. That also is the only one I can't rotate easily with one hand. I'd rate that one as taking some focus to rotate, haha.

Same here, I believe it's the way the oring sits...mine is heavily lubed, but my trick is to break the static friction by unscrewing slightly until i feel the resistance break, then tighten a bit. However, when one handed, I get only up to about 20 lumens with a gentle twist. 2 hand required for max.

I agree. I've noticed the resistance seems to be primarily related to the O-ring.

If I was SUPER ambitious, I could maybe look into undersizing it...

I don’t recall the exact feel of the brass and SS Logans I owned, but I do remember being able to operate them one-handed. I’m also able to get to max with one hand on both the SS Eiger and El Capitan.

One member said there's no O-ring on the pressure switch.
There is one. It's tiny. And sits below it, inside the light, when the switch is installed.
So, there is some water-resistance there.

There is one where the switch threads in, but I didn’t see one where the plunger slides within the switch body. I’ve had water ingress from that area.

I see a few members who have recently received small orders from Peak and I am hoping some of you could give me a little information. How long from the time of your order to the time of receiving your items passed? I am well aware Peak is a custom small shop and are known for vague communication (and lengthy order times) however they always come through eventually.

I have a large order ( 8 total lights ) that I placed over two months past. I have had no response to my last email 2 weeks prior however again this is not a concern as it is fairly normal for Peak. I was hoping others here could give me an idea of how many lights you ordered and how long it was before your order arrived. I assume that a large order would be a few months longer than average and I may be waiting a few more months.

My Peak Logan took about a month to arrive. It was stock, with just the Pressure switch as the only option. If you ordered a bunch of customized lights, not surprised they haven't arrived yet.

I vaguely remember something about stainless heads being out of stock so new ones needed to be made for the Capitan

I get the impression that, these days, 8 total lights is a fairly large order for them. I think my biggest order was two Eiger SS lights, and then two Ultra heads.

Sometimes the delays can also be from "life happens." IIRC, I had a gap in communication, because I think Robyn had something come up unexpected in life.

As you mention, it's a small operation of older folks, and so...yeah...

But, I think you're entitled to be a little disappointed being left out in the cold for two months. That's not fun, even when you fully trust someone.

Ordered all of the available replacement clips from Wurkkos' website.
A couple of clips were Out of Stock. But I do have 3 coming in. They're cheap, but if they work; who cares. All are wrap-around clips. Will report back when they come in. Hopefully one of them fits onto my Peak S.S. Logan.

They're for different diameter sized lights from Wurrkos. Thank you to dc38 for the suggestion.

Sorry for the delay. I promised measurements of the bezel diameter and the inside of the Peak S.S. Logan body. Took awhile to dig out my digital calipers. Here's what I found....

Bezel diameter: 19.83mm
Inner diameter of body: 17.20mm

Good news! No issues with denting. I'm using the Battery Junction Titanium brand CR123 cell that came with the light.

Bezel diameter: 19.83mm
Inner diameter of body: 17.20mm

That inner diameter makes sense, given that you got the Logan 17500 model, right? So you want it to fit a 17500 easily, and 17.20 gives you just the right amount of tolerance. Maybe a little rattle on a 16340, but a wrap of paper would silence that.
