People mention Peak lights in different threads on occasion, but I didn’t know if there was a specific thread for Peak talk. If there is, I apologize, and please point me to it. I’ve had various Peak lights over the years but none currently. I am going to rectify that issue shortly here. I’d love to see your Peak lights, old and new and hear your thoughts on them.

I've had a number of Peaks over the years too. Currently, I have two Eiger Mules, and I use them a lot. The photo is not mine; another member posted it of his collection many years ago. It's one of my very favorite flashlight pictures.

Yea great photo. Lots of good stuff in there. You have pics of your mules? Why output level? Single mode or QTC?

Peak were among my very favorite lights over the years ....

.... What is the light on top?

Depending upon the driver, it is likely a brass Mediterranean or Rainier.

I see that @troutpool posted while I was composing this reply, and I agree that Rainier is probably somewhat more likely as the "Ocean Series" never seemed to be that popular here on CPF.

My favorite Peak was the brass ShastaX which arrived with an XP-G(R5) having the best ever tint I had seen at that time, back when everyone here was focused on getting a decent emitter in the binning "lottery" . It ran on an N-cell, so that was interesting too.

I still like to use a steel Logan 17500 as a travel flashlight since it is so simple, durable, and (with the spacer accessories) runs on multiple battery options. Usually AA's are available everywhere and, if you want higher output, it is easy enough to use CR123A. Rechargeable Li-Ion like 16340 / 14500 / 17500 bumps output up even further, but obviously those cells are not commonly available.

Those Logans look pretty sweet and ability to run all sorts of battery don’t suck either.

I don’t remember what some of the older ones are, Shastas I think. A few Matterhorn, one with red emitter. An old SS Kilimanjaro single 5mm that I think could survive a nuclear blast.
A few extra bodies Eiger 10280, ElCapitan 14250, brass Shasta/baltic AAA body, Eiger and ElCapitan 90 degree adapters.
I honestly didn’t realize I had quite so many.😁

I knew you’d deliver sir! Awesome collection. Wish I knew which ones were which. Have a favorite?

I really like the Eiger mules, most aaa lights don’t throw much anyway, so why not a high CRI light with no hotspot that can disappear in your pocket. I find most of my light use is indoors and close up.

This is what I think I may go for. Dedicated warm low level around the house mule. Are yours qtc or single level? If single level what #?

Both are QTC, so, level 8 but adjustable once you get used to it. I should probably talk myself into getting another one at a level 3 or 4. Maybe a brass head on an aluminum body.
