Okay, keeping with my recent "Bezel Swap" theme, here is the SKZ325 half of my SKZ323-325 Bezel Swap.

These black dial / silver bezel swaps are not as dramatic as the white dial / black bezel swaps but I still like them better than the original black on black on black design.

What do you think?

Picked this up on WatchUSeek. Did Not need it.

Custom built supermod, “Boss SKX”. Aftermarket Tokeilab 42mm no-crown-guard SKX case with drilled lugs. Genuine Seiko SKX173 dial. Namokimods lumed steel bezel insert, Crystaltimes lumed chapter ring, lumed date wheel. Japanese Kanji day wheel. Sapphire crystal with clear AR. Slim black bezel and slim case back cuts the height to about 12.5mm. Matte blasted finish for the all business look. Comes on an H-link bracelet with on the fly extension clasp.

If someone in the USA or Canada needs it for about what I paid for it - drop me a line. Otherwise happy to hang onto it. Lume is great, the lumed chapter ring is pretty wild.
I noticed I too the photo at an angle, the bezel lines up way better than shown below (very very close to smack on).

Old lady watch repair (battery replacement) service again.
This old bird has more watches than some of you guys 😁
I’ll be off to the shops for some batteries I suppose.

This photo doesn’t do justice to how tiny this screw is. Only one of the three movements required removing a screw to replace the battery.
Good thing is they’re all the same battery that I should be able to get from the local hardware.

So far, yes.
No idea if she has anything cool and antique. She’s about 90 so possibly.
It appears she has a decent collection of cheap quartz watches to match different outfits or some such.

Before getting me to do battery changes she was getting charged a decent amount per watch at local jewellers or repair kiosks. I think this would have been prohibitive.
Now I get given a bag at a time with some totally useless battery sizes (for hearing aids etc in a bulk pack). Of course I don’t charge and I buy the batteries so I’m a pretty good deal 😉
Ducked out to the local hardware and grabbed 3x 377 (SR626SW) batteries for 12 bucks and had them ticking and closed up in no time.

Circulating the good Karma🤙

I’m on the other side of the world. AUD 3.99 each at my local hardware, convenient though.
Probably could have ordered a few cheaper but I’d put it off for a bit and finally got around to it.
Plus I had no idea what batteries were in these until I opened them up.

I can imagine her approach to life. I have great respect for such people. This is a rare human trait. I recall a relative of my wife who got bedridden at over 90. I accompanied my wife during her last visit. I later learned that she stormed my wife, in private, for not letting her know in advance that I would accompany her. My wife asked why this was an issue. She said she would wear lipstick if she knew.

She is no longer with us. RIP.

I have two kits full of watch-maker's tools. But no neighbors who even wear cheap quartz watches for me to do battery changes on. My one and only neighbor in the large CO-OP where I live who does wear a watch, challenged me to a fight a few years ago, after I called him out on his obnoxious behavior immediately; towards me. Then pretended as though he wanted to help me out. I was having none of it! You want to act like a piece of low-life ghetto trash towards me? Oh hell no! I don't tolerate that type of behavior. Plus, he's an older cat. You'd think he'd know better. Nope! This was just before Christmas, and he's older than me.

I fight him, I go to jail.... right before Christmas. Plus, he being older than I, I get an extra charge of Elder Abuse tacked on. No way! The laughable part was when he started taking off his cheap quartz watch as if he was taking off something of actual value because he didn't want to risk damaging it in a fight.

Hey mang, quartz doesn't always mean cheap, lol...maybe he was worried that the watch might slow him down 🙃

An excellent point! Thankfully it was nearly a year before I encountered him again. I never forget! Doubt he does either. Though I might be wrong. He acted as though we were cool. I pretended we were.

I was voluntold on helping with these battery changes by a family member. They had already offered my assistance without consultation which is always good. Seriously though, I’m happy to help.
I was a little surprised to get handed another bag. I think that makes seven watches now.

The old lady hasn’t challenged me to a fight… yet.
