Been avoiding the convoy L6 for a long long time. And because I love my L2 so much, I had to pick it up. Being its so easy to modify, its a light that can definitely keep up with technology.
Since you're not into larger lights and it seem you like to stick to single cell, I would suggest a single cell thrower. Something like xt12gt or nitecore P30, should throw around 600m give or take. Not bad for the size.
I'd purchase my Foursevens Quark AA around the same time also. My sister in Utah is enjoying it on her hikes and camping trips now. I may have more lights then I need but I'm also donating the ones that don't get used much to families and friends. I guess that's me, justifying purchasing new...
It feels like I'm the only person in my city that's a flashaholic, and I don't live in a small city. I honestly don't even try giving a family or friends advice on which flashlight to get because they won't ever understand. So, instead I would recommend whichever AA or AAA flashlight deals I...
Apologies, wasn't aware you wanted hightest lumen light. Yes, I agree the imalent dn70 would fit you perfectly. Only thing that worries me would be the parasitic drain when not in used but hopefully there's a way to lockout. Hopefully you'll find it available.
Sorry to kick it a bit off topic but if I was in your situation I would opt for a multi aa light. Flashlight technology has advance in last few years and aa light are becoming brighter. AA are easier to find and buy in bulk if you find yourself without power often. Although I have more lithium...
Klarus xt11s or xt11gt would be a good choice although not cheap. Living in Chicago you can't even have a blade longer than 2.5" and even then without proper training it might do more harm then good. My gf and I would walk our dog at night and our streets aren't well lit because of trees so we...
Best in order:
X3vn super bright and simple to use
C21vn best edc IMO
Eagletac d25a best tiny pocket light
Nitecore ea8 I just really love this light
Worst:
Zebralight sc600l2 bad tint, for the price machining could be better, and horrible ui don't know why so many love it
