    Too many Surefires

Well, I'm already interested in the tan E1B/E2B combo and the Outdoorsmans. 🤪 Oh my gosh, I have problems...

Which discontinued flashlights do you wish were still made?

Zebralight SC32. Cool white version would be my first choice but I could make do with warm white. So small. Perfect range of brightness options for all the things a little pocket EDC light needs to do. Wish I’d bought several when they were still available.

I'm desperate and need a $6,000 crypto loan.

Not that it changes much for the OP, but that's a complete mischaracterization of Buffett's many statements over the years. In fact, he has repeatedly and consistently said that he considers the purchase of his primary residence in Omaha to be the third best investment he's ever made, after the...

LED lights "as dangerous as cigarettes"

Worth noting that Dr. Motta is a retired cardiologist and extremely active amateur astronomer who had an asteroid named after him "for work on light pollution and research collaboration." Source Nobody hates bright streetlights more than someone trying to see stuff in the night sky. I hope the...

    McGizmo - 2018

I just came across this article from November 2025, when Scuba Diving named Don a Sea Hero and featured a very nice interview with him. Many folks on CPF already know about The Man's amazing ocean conservation work, but it's nice to see him recognized more widely. Congrats, Don, and thank you...

    Surefire E1B MaxVision discussion

Looks like the E1B MV has disappeared from the SF website.

Shrimp recalled due to possible contamination with Cesium-137

The closest I get to imported fish (and I eat a lot of fish) is what flies in direct on a Salmon-Thirty-Salmon. There aren't any hookers involved, so there goes the slavery angle. Is there a cite for this?

Male cheer leaders in the nfl?

If part of the goal is to attract more straight female spectators, the squad additions below are not going to move the needle.

    HDS Systems #23

I respect Henry's work and think his products and services are well worth what he charges, but I surf the second-hand market a lot more these days rather than looking at what's available new. WTBs have worked nicely for me in the past and there's probably someone with a 250 rotary sitting in a...

    This forum dead or dying?

Residential is a small fraction of the work keeping tradespeople busy. The residential construction market is measured in double-digit billions. Commercial is measured in double-digit trillions. There's a voracious appetite for skilled trades in commercial and public sector (infrastructure...

    This forum dead or dying?

I don't know where you're getting salary data from, but it doesn't jive with reality for most tradespeople. Outside of those who are still in their apprentice years or otherwise early in their careers, most skilled trades earn quite well. That's been the case for at least the past few decades...

    Streamlight 1L-1AA bit disappointing…?

A few of the 10-tap lights do not use PWM. The 1L-1AA is one of them and the now-discontinued 1L is another. Where PWM is used, like on the 2L and the 2L-X, it's very obvious to the naked eye. The Microstream USB also has a bad case of PWM, unfortunately.

What are Your Thoughts on Shipping Repairs to China?

I shipped an EagTac light back for repairs several years ago. It took more than a month and a lot more emails than should have been necessary to coordinate everything. I can't imagine how much more complicated it would be with the latest cross-border issues added in. Correction: It was an...
