    Average flashocolic age

I'm a physically, and mentally active 59. This is my personal philosophy regarding the subject of aging: Just because we ultimately have no control over the physical aspects of aging, doesn't mean we have to physically, or psychologically succumb to it by tossing up our wrinkled hands and...

    Male or female?

There are lighthouses that have been decommissioned and relegated to the private sector. My wife and I are interested in purchasing one to live in and possibly open to the public as a bed & breakfast... Now, if only our ship would arrive with our treasure chest. :D Thank you for providing not...

    Male or female?

When I was a youngster, my dad bought a five D cell chrome plated incandescent flashlight for me. And I was really impressed with it. But that was many moons ago, and that particular flashlight is no more. Now that my interest in emergency lighting has increased due to the introduction of LED...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

I now have my second Nitecore product. It's an EA41, 1,020 lumen flashlight that came with a useful diffuser. Personally, I prefer lights that use ordinary alkaline or lithium cells. This light runs on 4 AA cells, and provides me with a lot of light, and other useful features in a relatively...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

I purchased a Nitecore MT20A because it is compact, base activated, uses standard AA batteries, and provides me with all the various light modes I require. This is not to say I won't buy other LED flashlights in the future. ;)

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

Thanks. :) I take it you've since moved on to more complex lights that provide much higher illumination? May I ask what make and model you're currently interested in?

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

After spending too much time researching LED flashlights, I finally decided to order a Nitecore Multi-Task MT20A model that uses two ordinary AA alkaline batteries to produce what is currently a modest 360 lumens on turbo, which is plenty of light for someone who until recently thought krypton...

Are you upgrading to Windows 10?

Yes, I finally got tired of the annoying W10 OS pop-up ad that kept appearing on my desktop, so I downloaded it for free yesterday. But I was perfectly satisfied with W7, and see very little improvement if any with W10.

    Nitecore EA21 Questions?

I'm basically interested in purchasing a quality LED flashlight that uses AA, or AAA non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. And after surfing around for awhile, I've decided to purchase the Nitecore EA21 model; if 360 lumens is roughly the highest practical output ordinary batteries can generate...

    losing my taste for steak

The only kind of steak I enjoy these days is the kind my wife selects, and prepares... She's a kitchen magician. :) Also, for health reasons, I'm very discriminating about what I shove down my neck. Red meat and fried food in general are on my 'no' list.
