I'm basically interested in purchasing a quality LED flashlight that uses AA, or AAA non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. And after surfing around for awhile, I've decided to purchase the Nitecore EA21 model; if 360 lumens is roughly the highest practical output ordinary batteries can generate?

I might consider a hybrid model. But I prefer standard battery use only models.

Armytek prime A2 does 500 lumens OTF with great mode spacing.

Not trying to come off as a troll, I just won the prime A2 V3 in a contest. Very impressive light running on Eneloop's. Great runtime also.
