It's extremely easy to lock and unlock. To Lock: from off: 3 quick 'clicks' of the switch. You can then verify the switch lock is on by pressing the button after about 1 second. HDS EDC switch question
I don't consider mine 'hard' to press; put it does take a good push in the center of the switch,and of course you can feel the switch 'click' by tactile feedback. What do you think about new NICHIA NSPW500CS leds
They are a BIG improvement in output over the old standard Nichia white LED. However, they have a small blue center area, and a LOT of yellow-green corona. I've gotten really used to the blue-white color of standard Nichia's, and I like it. So side by side, I don't care for the tint. However...- TRC
