Hi everybody!
Well, I've been cycling 2 years old Imedions double A's, after noticing higher Imepdance Voltage Check by Maha.
The two batteries were at around 1.78V the other ones around 1.75 and 1.66 so I expected decreased capacity.
These cells have been charged once or twice a month. Let me...
Hi Tom!
OK, you charge your Eneloops in packs in auto.
Las Saturday, I tried to charge my new (bought in February/March) four Eneloop in Auto at 1 Amp Auto.
Schulze started charging at 500 mA, then the current reduced to 400 mA and the charge finished at 300 mA
I set up capacity (quantity) as...
These batteries were charged by the C9000 (I cheated on Maha C9000 to avoid initial IR check) and then let for two days for a trickle charge.
Since that trickle charge current is 10 mA, the voltage has dropped down to 1.33 Volts in one cell and 1.38 i other cells.
I decided to put them on the...
I have a few really crappy rechargeable cells with high IR, that the C9000 refuses to charge.
These are not Ni Cad but the regular Ni Mh cells.
I've put them in a very old dumb Ni Cad AA Charger and chosen the normal mode as charging.
This dumb charger is 27 years old and the normal mode uses...
Well, I've been using them mailny to power up my slow RGB LED lights and sometimes I put these batteries in my Internet Radio unit.
Would you suggest leaving them in Maha C9000 for a trickle charge? Just leaving them for a few days?
I don't have a dumb charger so I cannot check the resaults...
Hello Tom!
Yes. I did charge them at 1 Amp after seeing your post.
They were pretty warm, but defenitely not as hot as on BC-700.
Do you have any suggestion how to deal with them? Now they're sitting on the C9000 (R&A Mode at 500 mA charge and 100 mA discharge.
Hi Tom!
Thanks for your explanation. I have red that Schulze does not recommend charging in Auto Mode batteries above 1500 mAh.
If you charge your Eneloops or other LSD cells you use Fix Charge mode, I guess.
What rate would you charge them? (Eneloop or AA Ion Core's).
I have 16 AAA Ion Core's and after initially doing a forming
charge with C9000, I decided to charge them using Schulze.
I enter 850 mAh as capacity and use Auto Charge mode.
So as I write this post the four of them are charging now at 300 mA (or little above that)
The resistance is 385 mΩ, so I...
Here's another problem with these crappy cells:
La Crosse AA batteries are getting too hot while being charged in BC-700 @ 500mA.
Three of them stopped charging (too hot) and after 20 minutes or so the charger
finished the job terminating at 1.47 Volt.
These cells have not too bad internal...
Hi guys!
I just recently modified a 50 LED lights string by replacing the original small LED lamps plus resistors
which have been soldered to the positive leads.
I put 50 10 mm slow colour changing RGB LED's, adding of course resistors as well.
The problem is both the light # 1 and # 25 does...
This chinese made Rayovac generated 1516 mAH after a second forming charge.
The capacity is slowly improving even this discarded cell probably had been misuded or abused.
I guess, it's a pretty good cell :).
So it is worth sometimes going to recycling placec and look for "dead" rechargeable...
Hello guys!
I have a peculiar hobby going sometimes the the call2recycle places and pickin' "dead batteries".
I really try to just recover them from previous abuse
Not dead actually, I have been using 10 of them for 2 years and charging them with the C9000.
Last time I found the Rayovac AA...
Hi Tom!
Well, I have just finished cycling my 4 Eneloops at the default rate of the C9000.
1000 mA charge
500 mA discharge
Here are the numbers of each cycle:
