Which discontinued flashlights do you wish were still made?

Nitecore EA41. I really wished I bought more of those. Ran on 4AA and they got low voltage/bad battery detection (switch blinks). Plus you can easily fit them in your pockets.

    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2025

Never had a standard Eneloop completely discharge on me (infact I tried to but Eneloops when new are overcharge protected and recover quickly) but i pair them based on recorded capacity from the C9000 and try to stop using the device when it's noticeably dying (getting dim). Even my AAA...

    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2025

Ah well I have yet to see a Coast alkaline battery leak. Don't know anything on Costco batteries so you'll have to keep us updated on that. Pretty much Duracell is notoriously leaking. Nothing worse than buying scams. You could have returned those granted if you were aware they were fakes...

    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2025

Just bought a 16 pack of Eneloop AAs. Ran low on them, where I don't have enough of them. Man they're expensive now, but still worth every penny. Older set are 12 years and still going strong. My older AA Nimhs (the non LSD cells) Rayovacs are not doing do well, got a few that are doing ok but...

    Has EBL Improved?

I have a 20 pack of 800mA AAA EBLs I bought 9+ years ago that still function well. Not sure if the quality is about the same but they work better than other brands. Eneloop may still be the best option for longevity.

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Yeah, sometimes the higher capacity does come in handy, if you're planning to use them in an environment where the extra time (even if it's 5 minutes) comes in handy. Ideally you only need the amount of cells you planning on using for your needs while the regular Eneloop cells can be stocked up...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Sorry for my late response, haven't been on here but you can check using a lumen meter with white and black Eneloop batteries in identical flashlights. Or you can discharge them at 2 amps (maybe 1 amp) In an analyzer charger to note the voltages per battery. You can do multiple batteries to...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

I might have overlooked this but I bought some AAA Duracells (4 pack) back in 2019 and from my understanding they're just Eneloop Pro under the Duracell label but I'm not 100% sure or know the manufacturer date, but for 6+ years they still mostly work, except one that seems to self discharge...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

https://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Xtar%20SV2%20Rocket%20UK.html Unless I'm wrong it looks like that charger trickle charges around 50mA. Not sure if that might have affected your Eneloop Pro cells or not.

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Ah ok. Seems the claim that Eneloop Pro holds higher voltage/amp isn't true unless it's the camera itself, but I'm sure some actual testing was done somewhere around in this forum to verify this.

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Some information about Eneloop Pro on https://eneloop101.com/charge/ It sounds as if there is conflicting info on charging rates. According to the Eneloop technician AAA Eneloop Pro should be at least 500mA charging or higher and the AA Pro should be charging at 1,250mA. Unless I'm...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Yeah some people have reported capacity loss. What charger were you using? I'm curious to see if anyone had any better luck with them but haven't really heard too much positive feedback from them. It's like a couple of uses and they're junk.

Duracell Leak Guarantee Claim Turnaround Time

I had a Maglite Solitare get really destroyed by what I think was a Duracell a couple years ago. Couldn't even drill it out it was so bad, would just crumble up. Never seen a battery do that.

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Hmmm so the flash reaction time didn't change with the Pro? I want to try buying the black (Pro) to see if a higher charge rate would make a difference in longevity. Obviously the white cells are going to last a lot longer but I'd imagine the Pro cells would have a lifespan of 5 years or 100...

    Who is buying Maglites?

Totally get the whole stupid tariffs nonsense and if I was in your position I'd avoid buying American products as well. It's frustrating though as an American and not being able to have many options to buy American products to support American manufacturing, despite some orange guy being in...

    Who is buying Maglites?

Last Maglite I got was the 3rd Gen ML300L 3D Maglite in Silver. I need a 2nd job to start collecting more for the colors and sizes. I miss then being at Home Depot and didn't see any at Menards either. I think Ace Hardware might carry them. The extended run time on these are great, durable...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Yeah the black (Pro) Eneloop supposedly has higher sustained output power compared to the white Eneloop. I never really tested them to see the difference. My Maha/Powerex C9000 only discharges at 1 amp but maybe I could do this on both my Sky Rc chargers (have 2 different ones) but would need a...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

Well the higher capacity ones doesn't last as long. I guess people quit buying them. I like them for their higher capacity and supposedly they do better under greater loads but yeah the 750 ones last longer which people like. High capacity cells last anywhere from 2 months to 5 years. Anything...

Is anyone still buying Eneloop (or other Ni-MH batteres), if so do you ever need to replace them?

I'm actually quite impressed how well 3 of my AAA 8 Eneloop Pro cells still produces 2 amps (discharge test). For Pro manufactured 11 years ago I was determining whether any were any good, looks like 3 of them are. One could only get up to 900mA others were doing 1 to 1.5amps. The importance of...

We need to stay on topic here. This is not the place to argue over where people buy their batteries from. There are places like this, https://eneloop101.com/batteries/real-or-fake/#:~:text=Please%20check%20the%20product%20sheets,it%20comes%20to%20identifying%20counterfeits. that show you what...
