Running the 4 x XPG2 emitters, being that they'll be putting out less lumens and I assume less heat, is it really necessary to run it in a BIG Cryos copper head host or would the smaller 18650 set up work just fine? I know the 26650 cell will give me more run time, how much more though I don't know. And is Copper THAT much better in dissipating heat that a standard anodized head... enough difference that is to justify the added weight and expense?
If you use a very high-drain cell with very low internal resistance, you will get more lumens, but you'll also generate heat faster. If you use a Keeppower 5200 mAh 26650 instead (for example), you will probably not even notice the difference in brightness, but you will get quite a bit more capacity, and probably won't have to step it down as soon either.
Meaning IMR cells?
Does a higher mAh = higher drain - I'm not versed in this aspect.
So the anodized aluminum vs Copper sounds like it'd be a wash then?
had this quad for maybe a month now. when i first got it i put in my panasonic 3400s and wasnt all that impressed. i put it away and there it sat until yesterday. i finally received some samsung 25rs and now this is one smoking light cannot put it down hahaha :D

Could you build a 219b dropin with lucidrv firmware that could handle up to 6v?
