Over on that auction site -- what do they call it, I-Harbor? -- someone is selling a Gransee-era ARC AAA with an RGB emitter that cycles through the colors and does a disco light-show.

Question for the assembled experts: is this something that ARC ever sold? Or is this just someone's aftermarket emitter swap?

I'm not interested either way -- the seller wants $129.00! A little steep, even for those of us who might like to pick up an old ARC AAA.

Thank you so much, Archimedes! An invaluable info-dump....

And the AA version is particularly rare; I've never even seen one. Reportedly less than ten ever produced. If anyone around here has one, it would be great to post up about it.

.... And ETA: Sigh... I wish I coulda bought a bunch of those lights back when....

If you are going back in time, would you mind picking me up a half-dozen or so LF2XTs ?

That second link that you posted says they have 8 of the AA RGB's left. I'd love to get my hands on one of the ARC AA's in a useful color (i.e. not RGB), and I assume they made many more of those.

Coming right up! I'll get you a few shares of Apple at the same time.
