Hey guys

Found my ancient arc aaa keychain light. It is VERY dim and the tail shaft where the keychain loop goes thru is worn paper thin. Are there any upgrades /fixes.

If not is it worth anything???

You might be able to snap an eyelet rivet in there, mechanically similar to putting those old "reinforcer" stickers on 3 ring binder papers.

Do you mean that the output is dimmer than "normal" (previously) ?

Initial troubleshooting usually includes : try fresh battery, clean contact surfaces, clean threads, etc.

In terms of "upgrades" there are other compatible threaded parts with modern emitters (eg, Peak, Sapphire, etc) but most are not available separately, and their cost is such that it probably doesn't make much sense to do so, for the rest of what is essentially just a worn battery tube.

Unless maybe there is some special sentimental value attached to that particular one, I suppose.
