Good afternoon everyone. The one year anniversary of my husband’s passing is coming up on April 21. I want to do something that he would really appreciate and would be special to honor him. As some of you know, I have a very large collection of flashlights, parts, and other collections from my husband. I want to give some of that back to this community that he loved so much. On April 21, 2026, I will be drawing 2 names to receive a special package from Mike and I. To enter this drawing all you have to do is leave a comment on this thread. It can even just be 😀or 👍. There doesn’t need to be any words. Once I see your comments, your CPF handle will be entered. Please only comment once, in an effort of fairness, your name will only be entered once. Once I have drawn 2 names, they will be announced in the comments section. I will then reach out to the winners to get their mailing information to send them their package.

By the way, thank you all for the warm welcome I have been given. I know now why Mike was so drawn in.😀

I don’t need to be entered, but just wanted to thank you for honoring the memory of your husband this way. I have made an effort to be more involved in my wife’s hobbies to better know those sides of her. It has really been rewarding and gives us an even deeper connection. So glad you are a part of this community!

A drawing of Bykfxr, eh? Doin' the fly-fishin' thang in Idaho perhaps? A silhouette of him in the wee hours choppin' wood for the winter stove, perhaps? Or maybe just chillin' by the lake with the family, sippin' on a cool glass of lemonade. I'm in! 😊

Seriously though ...

Very kind, for the thought, MrsB.

Or fixin bikes in a garage?
Thank you for the opportunity, Mrs Byk. We're all missing Mr Byk along with you.

I have said this many times Mike was a very good man and I firmly believe behind every good man is a great woman. If you look back through this forum you can see Mike was a generous soul to his long time friends and he was also always welcoming to new members. I have no doubt many members got their start in this hobby due to Mike so often sharing from his staggering collection. This act of generosity on your part will surely continue to spread Mikes legacy and I am sure somewhere somehow he is smiling down on us all.
