The biggest problem for Cadillac is that the Mercedes S 63 AMG exists and is about the same price, and totally out-classes it in every measure. 791hp, 1055(!) ft-lb torque. 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. The only advantage I see is the 6-speed manual for the Cadillac, which truly is an advantage. Is that worth $180k though? I like rowing gears, but I'd rather pick up a Miata for when I want to throw a car around. You could buy a regular S-Class AND Miata for less than what Cadillac wants for that car.
and somehow Cadillac still thinks sun visors and "oh sh*t" handles are "features":

IMO, (in general, or most models) it is a buyers market. ALL the dealer lots I passed yesterday are packed with inventory. Spoke to a friend who lives close to a new car storage lot, and told me the lot is packed as well.
They are paying a bunch of interest on those cars.
I remember the days of COVID. Aside from a few cars, (those cars I would guess are sold and set for delivery) the lots were empty.

Problem is, car dealers still think the Golden Age of COVID is still around for them. It's 2026, there are still 2023 New models sitting and rotting away on dealers' car lots.

What are you driving now and how has it been treating you?
We've been wanting to try the GV80 and keep hoping one will pop up in the Executive aisle at National when we pick out our rental car. Twice now we've missed them by mere seconds, watching someone else drive off in one.
I've not been to a car lot in since 2021...is it really still like that? I can't imagine there are too many people wanting to buy new cars today. Most of what's out there isn't compelling enough to get people out of their existing cars, and the prices make it even less palatable.
It always surprised me how much cheaper used cars are in the UK compared to the USA.
