Outdoor Waterproof 1600LM CREE XM-L T6 LED Headlamp I picked this up on Amazon[/URL]. Needed a couple little widgets that didn't add up to enough for free shipping, so I added this to my car on a whim.

Kinda bulky. Has high, medium, and strobe. Less than stellar battery life with the supplied 18650 ****fire batteries. Has it's own charger, which I am not overly trusting of, so I throw it in a metal box on my steel workbench for charging.

But it is pretty bright. I'm guessing 300+ lumens. You know, just a little short of the advertised 1600 lumens. I have worn it a lot this winter for plowing snow. My tractor has less than adequate lights for backing up and this thing is definitely bright enough, and makes me really visible to any motorists I may back out in front of.:duh2:

For a fun time, wear it out in a raging snowstorm at night, look straight up, and turn it on strobe.

Twenty bucks can get you the Petzl Tikkina. The new one, with a single power LED instead of two 5mm LEDs should be out for worldwide distribution. It's a good headlamp. Reliable. Straightforward. Never going to leave you in the dark.
