I picked up a new Streamlight Protac 2.0 about 8 days ago from Amazon for $75. And yesterday... Nitecore MH12 Pro's price dropped to $76.49 at Amazon! So I put in a order for it. Now, the proverbial question of 2026, I can only keep one, or I'll have to sound dumber to my wife. Which one?

I say don't give 'er any ammo. I'd keep the Protac and let the MH12 go;-)

Keep both, hide one, lie to your wife.
I'm assuming she has no clue what your handle is on CPF.

not meant to be doing a comparison, but... mh12 package is nicer and included more goodies. Even the tie for the usb-c cable is mixers with logo velcro

2 included holsters. Bottom one protac 2.0. Quality differences is obvious. Mh12's padded and way better stitched.

Comparison. Now you guys/gals see how I would sound dumber to my wife to rationalize keeping both

I dig the protac's simi-orange peel reflector though. But there seems to be a slight blue-ish tint coating in the protac's lens

Instruction "manual". Streamlight's is lacking, though mh12's now completely unfolded. 3 things that mh12 that bugs me: though able to stand on tail, it slightly wobbles. Probably because it has only 2 stubs to sit in; there's a little rattle sound from tailcap when shake; the symmetrical body shape leads me to mistakenly press lens end vs. Tailcap in blind reach. Luckily my think l thumb is not that greasy/dirty.

Look at my post below. How? Where to hide? That's not to mention the 1 mini mag, 1 minier mag, two old incandescent 3-d cell mags, one incandescent 6-cell mag, 3 crappy Duracell "tactical" bought from Costco....
