From the standpoint of an Unelightened one, and looking at all these colors without any particular use in mind, what's not to like? If it's going to be deep red, sign me up. Ditto with any other colors in an ARC AAA.

deep red bump.. I have one Arc RGB and I get a kick out of that one... would love to have deep red for night vision... even on that RGB when you fire it up after being in the dark you can tell the red is much more easy on the eyes.. the green and blue cause me to have to squint, not the red.

Peak makes an identical Arc clone available in red,uv,cyan, blue, pink/purple, snow,rgb

As a matter of fact I believe if I am not mistaking they used to or still do manufacture the body for ARC. You can even take the Peak head and put it on the arc body or vice versa.

They even have different battery options for the ARC AAA like this one

always good to see activity on this thread because I'd like a GREEN Arc AAA-P. Concerning different colored LEDS, Peak is a good company that cares about its products and customers. I have had excellent experiences with the good folks at Peak. One color offered by Peak is CYAN, they do not have GREEN.

Hello,

If you ask Peak for a green led, chances are they have some available. I got one last year.
The problem with the Peak Matterhorn (as compared to the ARC) is the poor regulation. The Peak starts dimming quite soon and best results are obtained with lithium primaries. Changing to NiMH gives a lot less output.

Well guys, according to Maria's response to my question on the possibility of the manufacture of a red ARC-AAA (or variant AAA-P) unless there are about 200 (I would guess min), there is not a chance that a colored ARC would be produced.

But maybe if we keep pestering Peter he might do a run for less than 200. Every time I send in an order I ask about a future run of a red (heck even a red/orange, amber (I currently have both red and red/orange))ARC-AAA. So maybe you guys should do the same.

I hope Peter does not blacklist me for suggesting that method. But then again I did not think I would again see an ultraviolet AAA (which I also have) and yet there is a present the offering of a newer model ARC-AAA UV.

Here's a strong argument for having two colors --- one in the 470-480 nm range (I think that'd be called 'aqua'?) and one that omits the whole blue band below about 500 or 525nm.

I love my red led ARC AAA and especially my Red and Cyan and Blue ARC LS torches. Colours are good for you.

OK if a minimum order would be 200, then either 200 people need to sign up or, maybe a more select enlightened few could order 2 each meaning only 100 people would need to plance an order. Perhaps a combo BLUE and GREEN run could offset some of the minimum costs, WOW!:thumbsup: a GREEN ARC AAA-P and then maybe a BLUE???:party:
