Eneloop storage: Charged or discharged ?

I have some eneloops LSD NIMH cells.
But I'm wondering whether I should store them charged or discharged.

Does it make a difference?

Hello Viking,

Just to muddy the water a little...

Eneloop cells are shipped at around a 70% charge. If you are planning long term storage, that is probably a good target to shoot for, but is a little difficult to do. If your charger displays how much is going into the cell during a charge, and you know the capacity of the cell, you can watch the charge and stop it at about 70%.

Short term storage, like a week or a month, is best with the cell fully charged. That way it is ready to use when you need it.
