The pocket clip from an EagTac DX3B mini pro works well on the rotary. Nice long clip and it allows the light to sit deep in a pocket. I'll try to get a pic if I remember.

After 24 hours, the SDR50 is growing on me.

To be honest I was a little disappointed at first, because this is the first I've had with a gritty dial, and on a white wall there's a green ring around the hotspot. The colors do seem accurate, and the 5000K makes the light transparent, like the absence of tint, if you know what I mean? And the flood will make it useful.

The silver tail SS40 will remain my favorite. The tint is easy on my eyes, I'm sucker for throwier beams, even if I know flood is more useful, and I dig the steampunk look.

I felt the same last week when I first tried out mine. It grew on me after one good walk in the dark woods. Love that SDR50.

Had a spare S1 Baton Pro clip, Works well

A ziptie can also work. I use the Streamlight 1L-1AA held on with a ziptie threaded through a piece of gutted paracord. It works great.

Try a low profile zip tie, they lay flat instead of the head sticking out.

Thanks. I didn’t know about them, so I will have to look into them. It doesn’t look it from the picture, but the head sits about the same height as the end of the clip so it isn’t that noticeable and I file the cut edge to ensure smooth.

I am surprised that for so many years, such an advanced company as HDS has not been able to do such a simple and functional thing: a flashlight clip.

They did have it figured out. Then some people complained about the holes.

The $12.00 stock clip works fine on my Clickies, the equal in retention and function to most any other clip on any other light I've owned.

The $12.00 stock clip works fine bezel up on my Rotary, the equal in retention and function to most any other clip on any other light I've owned. :)

I think having the rotary mechanism on the tail precludes what some people want, but bezel up, even if not officially supported, is a worthy solution. It involves five minutes work and one o-ring.

(Hogo- How do you really feel?  )

I would not call it a hole, just normal wear, the same as the wear of the sole of the shoe or car tires, it is better every 2-3 years I will make a small patch on my pocket than lose my flashlight.
