Interesting Torture Test

Help Support Candle Power:

Yeah, Werkz test lights to pretty serious extremes. Even more so for handheld lights where they're unlikely to be crushed on the side with added weight behind them like rifle-mounted WMLs in the Bash test.

I'm not surprised to see 18650s perform better than 21700 ones. Square-Cube Law is a thing, after all.

The Megastream came out surprisingly well. If only it wasn't for the proprietary battery.

Kind of too extreme for my taste but good to know!
The concrete mixer test is designed to kill any light, there is no way that any light will survive that. Same as the drone.

He kinda lost me when he said "toughest" at the drone test but left out the elzetta...he should've factored out the candela rating and balanced the cell types/ratings. Also, didn't he say dead lights wouldn't proceed? Didn't that streamlight die twice, earning only 1 point in the rock tumble, yet he gave it 2 points?

The test is great if done fairly adhering to the set standards, but there should be a negative point penalties for "lives lost". He seemed heavily invested in having the streamlight succeed...just an observation.

I just jumped to the end results, and was happy to see the Surefire ranked well. I've been wanting that light since it came out. Someday...
