Its been a while. once again im looking for a light that is not yet made. at least to my knowledge.

requirements:
access to high and low from off. No head twist. prefer long hold low. tap High. Tail Switch
at this point i will not be fussy about batteries. just edc size ie: sub 100 mm

I have been posting for this light since 2012 in 2014 and lastly in 2016. I had a guy in BLF trying to build me one but that did not pan out. im sure he tried his best. No Vinh cannot help I sent him a message about it long ago.

Ui is the most important but this is the grail light.
Voltage 1-4.2Volts
Ui: http://drjones.nerdcamp.net/ the mokkadrv towards the bottom.
Tail Switch.
multi battery capability ( again if i find the UI i would be happy with any battery config.)

Ive owned Hds Im thinking D10 or 11. just wondering if anyone have made a light like this.

Fyi lumens not important just a reasonable spacing. Neutral tint would be nice but i can change that myself if necessary

Have you looked at the Klarus XT1c? I do not own this light but had looked into it at one time. It has a dual tail switch. From what I understand, in outdoor mode, one switch accesses high while the other accesses low.

It sounds like you want a tail e-switch with customizable firmware. Take a look at the FW3A.

I wonder if Randy at PflexPro would be able to help?
His site says that he's busy on big orders at the moment, but hopes to be up and running again soon.

Another mention of the FW3A. I've been looking at the FW3Avn due to the LED options and Vinh's warranty. https://www.candlepowerforums.com/v...intop-TLF-BLF-FW3Avn-Most-Compact-Triple-Quad

It isn't multi-fuel, and low voltage protection is at 2.8V (not 1.0 as you requested), but it has the tail switch, a stepped mode with a custom number of modes (between 2 and 150 steps), access to moonlight, turbo, and the memorized level from off (hold, double-click, click-hold, respectively), plus a momentary mode, thermal configuration and other options via the anduril firmware.

Good luck with the grail!

that might be it! that looks as close as ive seen. and if it has an e-switch the driver should be easier to change than modifying a regular light to send a momentary switch signal from the driver to the tail cap area. Wow that light is just about it. looking at the flow chart of the UI it seems like short click from off gives you last memorized output? or is it An output you predetermine like HDS? So even if you turned it off on a low setting it would still default to starting on a predetermined brightness

Klarus XT1C 2018 version. I have the XT11GT and the UI functions exactly as you want it to. In outdoor mode the paddle switch (momentary action only) activates low mode momentarily and if held it stays on...pressing again increases output in stages up to turbo and repeats. Pressing and holding the paddle while light is on will turn it off. Pressing the main switch brings it on in turbo (1000 lumens) momentarily and can be locked on (standard forward clickie).
