K60vn - First XHP70 Thrower

This looks like a perfect balance between throw and fill for a large flashlight. I'm still putting together an order from Vinh for a S200C2vn and I'm already researching this K60vn for my second V54 light. This is indeed a slippery slope and Vinh is keeping it well oiled!

Not as big as i expected but still a good sized light,nice feel in hand,nice build too from acebeam


Its certainly Thrunite tn35vn build quality at least,nice knurling and control ring . Not heavy either for its size.............spot on imo for an option for throw/flood type search light. Like a single reflector tk75 in a way,no kind of artifacts though from the huge reflector, like you get from most multi led lights.

Nice mode spacing,can see the bump from the level 5 to 6, 4-5k(more so coming down from 6 to 5).


Cant wait to test it properly come dark(and time):D

Anyone on the fence with the k60vn.........jump over it:) awesome light!

I think I will go for K60vn...If you add DriverVN2 and XML2 PDT to TK75vnQ though i'ts game over...But that is $88 more than the X60vn... Sighhhhh

My next light will hopefully be the tk75vnQ , cant wait!!!
Me and Callum have been out playing with the k60vn and tn36vn ........and pd35vnQ and tn35vn !!! :laughing: Lighting up the trees around and the field. The k60vn certainly puts out some light, noticeably brighter than the tn35vn which is still a fav light of mine.

I just have to say, even two months after receiving my K60vn, I am still blown away by how well-rounded and awesome this light is. It isn't the brightest and it isn't the furthest throwing, but it runs forever on high. There are so few high powered lights with decent heat management, and this one is tops. This light deserves a "Must Have".

Few beam pics at local park tonight with the k60vn......awesome light,so much flood and very good throw. Makes a fantastic all round light imo and would imagine making a superb S&R light. Not best conditions by a long way,quite a bit of mist from the lake and not very dark with the moon light...........oh and a tip for mike.......dont use an iphone :laughing:

Guess not too bad,just dont catch the full brightness of what i see.........
Literally lights up a large field,perfect beam with no "petals"/"artifacts" and a good few pics were took on L5:ohgeez::laughing:

Its not the furthest throwing..........its not the most floody light ..........but the mix makes it my fav output right now.

A.marquardt i think said it perfect..........well rounded............could not agree more. Imo also its a must have too.........

During the uses which was L5/L6 it got quite warm(not hot) and bare in mind its around 18oC so not cold by a long way. Most of the heat appears to be around the lower head part and control ring. The head still gets heat dissipated to it as well as the actual body,just majority is around control ring area. Whilst it gets quite warm,the ring function/feel does not alter in anyway(think as if grease would get more viscous),if it does it is not noticeable anyway. I really struggle to find fault with this light,its not too heavily laser printed(hate all that armytek white print on the v3 lights). Control UI is good(better if infinite though imo), weight/size is a nice balance in hand........only minor gripe and its minor would be the head heat sinking groves , thats just for crap getting in them and cleaning out.

Seems to me this has less lumen and lux then the M43 XPG2 PDTc (6340 OTF and ~110k lux). Smoother beam most likely and I'm sure way better at handling heat. Anyone disagree?

Edit: That can't be right. Selfbuilt has the K60 at about 160k, so Vinh's version, especially with a shaved dome, will be higher then that. Maybe 200k lux?

I've got a light meter and laser reflector/target (for my rangefinder) coming in the mail so I'll be able to test the lumen at precisely 100 yards and convert that into accurate lux # soon.
