It is a really nice piece, however I prefer single AA/CR123 sized lights.

I have tried SO MANY 2xAA setups, and the ONLY one I don't hate is the MD3, and that's cause its...and MD3, haha.

Otherwise, I'm with you. That short height is great.

I've been wondering why a side-by-side 2xAA isn't more popular. Heck, 4xAA wouldn't be super large, and gets you up to Li-ion voltages...

That being said, if I had any kind of a head that would have worked with this, I might have gone for it. Nice buy @crushin !

Thanks, I’m not sure yet if my mule can handle the 2 AA and may need to buy 2 hive light engines now. One for this and one for the cr123 body. Let me know if you have any to offer.
