(note that these are manufacturer specs and actual lumen spec will be slightly less. Runtime would probably be slightly higher given good quality cells like the Panasonic 3100/3400)

I'm still trying to press the PayPal button to try this light. I bought the DBS when it was the king and haven't bought anything else comparable since then. I can only imagine the difference. There have been so many improvements since my xre r2. Lol! I wanted to try an aspheric, but this light seems much more usable and has more lux than most of the aspherics out there.

I was about to buy one of these but I have to say that the special of a tn31 stock and a t10 stock for 139 shipped was just to good to pass up. I guess I thought that double the output and one less torch for 146 bucks more just wasn't worth it. I do think it was worth it over a stock one at 219 for one torch before the sale but not afterwords.

I hope I didn't make a mistake.

Did I still get a decent upgrade over my catapult v2 with a stock TN31? It appears so looking at both lights. I do love the control ring and multiple modes compared to the twist two mode of the catapult

My TN31 as tested by saabluster is 237Kcd.

The modded Fandyfire is a great thrower that I ordered with my TN31 and I am keeping it.

I have ordered the Thrunite TN31 in the HOT DEAL with the T10 thrown in as well for $139AUS, it was delivered free to my door with full tracking in 3 days by DHL.

I am selling my modded TN31 to a mate.

If you're planning on shooting anything from 500 meters at night, I think you (and we all) would be better off if you spent your money on a good hunter's safety course instead of a flashlight, Dave. Just sayin'.:thinking:

I've been sorely tempted to buy one of these. However, I already own a stock TN31 and I find it quite impressive. Saabluster's beamshot comparisons do show the target noticeably more illuminated with his modified light, but it for me there just didn't seem to be enough 'wow' to warrant buying another TN31.

I know it's hard to overcome camera compensation, and monitors may vary, etc. Perhaps the difference to the eye is more pronounced in real time.

Still, I wish there was a way to have your own light modified for less than buying a new one. Radio Labs makes mods and improvements to people's stock HF receivers as an alternative to buying a new one, for example.

It seems like to me these aren't for the everyday guy who loves lights, but for the obsessed that has to have the next best thing in the flashlight industry. As things stand presently the price of the discounted TN31 and T10 is half of the modified light and some of the people who have had them imported have paid well over $400 for theirs, so the question doesn't go to how much better is this light than the best handheld thrower, it is simply that it does out throw the best handheld thrower by quite a bit.

I don't think I'll be getting one. It would have been worth it if I hadn't gotten a stock light first. Oh, well... there'll be something new that will beat it before too long.

I wouldn't bet on a non modified light beating this one in that size range for a while, and even if it does manage to out-throw it, this light has excellent overall performance in areas that manufacturers often lack.

You will be another "HAPPY and SATISFIED CUSTOMER" the first time you use it at night.

It is good to see so many of those people coming over from the DARKER SIDE to THE BRIGHTER SIDE with Saab's "HIGHLY" modified products.

Compare any other throwers to it and the TN31 will probably slaughter it in throw.

My Saab modded TN31 is much brighter than my stock TN31.

I wonder if or when the Thrunite DEALS sale will end especially the TN31 or will they add more DEALS into the BUNDLE line-up.
