honestly, what's your back-up plan if your trolling motor goes out?

What I call the Bayou Bonk...a.k.a. the frying pan to the noggin lolYou're not from around these parts are you, son?
Maybe alligators have a different disposition elsewhere, but the ones around here are pretty tame. You just yell at them or charge at them and they quickly scurry away. We currently have a 4-footer behind the house here. Poor thing looks miserable with his lake very low due to the drought. He doesn't bother anyone. We had a 6' (eventually 8') one at my childhood home. He'd sun himself on the dock, but same story, advance towards him he'd leave. He was "trained" very well by the locals to do this and quickly learned to fear anything walking on 2 legs.
But i wont try to ride them
Smart policy, Raggie. Nothing good can come of riding tourists. Better to ignore them. The tourist come to see are gators there is a gator themed gas station on lake where foks stop to see the gators i just ignore them. But i wont try to ride them
Alligator is on the menu at quite a few places around here, more as a curiosity than anything else. I'm a native Floridian and I don't know of anyone who eats gator regularly. It even shows up as a pizza topping. Too chewy and fishy for my tastes.I am not taking a chance on destroying my one good cast iron frying pan on a 'gator.
Unless I'm cooking him up in it.
It's a shame the guard didn't address either one of you as son. That would make your story pretty funny.I remember being in NY Federal Court with him in Manhattan. The security guard looks down and says, "You two aren't from New York City, are you?" as he looked down at his boots.
That's a joke, son! It's a shame the guard didn't address either one of you as son. That would make your story pretty funny.
Don't you agree, @lampeDépêche?![]()
